OUR PROJECT IS OVER!

Three years have passed and our project is coming to an end. All that is left now is the project evaluation. We would like to invite all students, teachers and parents of all partner schools to take part in this short survey and share their feelings and experiences. Create your own user feedback survey


STAGE TEN - CONCLUSION - HAS STARTED

The last stage of our project has started.
We will kindly ask all of you to think back about all the project actvities that we have been working on for the last three years and offer your feedback.


THE SEVENTH LTT EVENT - STUDENTS' EXCHANGE WEEK - HAS TAKEN PLACE IN KATOWICE, POLAND

On May 13-17, an international group has met for the last time in Katowice. Students of all partner schools had a chance to meet a film director and work in international teams under his guidance on making short films documenting various aspects of life in the neighbourhood of the Polish school. They also visited some famous places in southern Poland, like the UNESCO salt mine in Wieliczka, the Old Town in Kraków, the palace in Pszczyna, the European Bison park and the Auschwitz museum. They took part in a city game around Katowice and in traditional dance workshops. The most important part was, of course, the Film Festival, where each school presented their film and was awarded the Golden Farmer Award in one of the festival categories.


9th TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - KATOWICE, POLAND

On May 12-14 a group of coordinators from all partner schools met in Katowice for the last time to evaluate the project and plan the reporting process. There was a lot of work to do!


STAGE OF FILM HAS STARTED

The months of February, March, April and May will be dedicated to entertainment.
We will be discussing what valuable entertainment is and how to make good choices. We will also think of the film industry, recommend films from our countries, write scripts, meet cinema professionals and shoot our own feature films connected with industries. The stage's culmination will be the Film Festival in May 2019 in Katowice, during the final students' LTT.


THE SIXTH LTT EVENT - ERASMUS EXCHANGE WEEK - HAS TAKEN PLACE IN TURKEY

On October 8-12, students from Ireland, Bulgaria, Portugal and Poland - together with their Turkish colleagues and hosts - took part in the sixth international LTT event in a beautiful tourist resort of Kuşadası in western Turkey, on the Aegean coast. The students took part in a lot of fantastic trips to celebrate the launch of the Stage of Travel - they visited, among others, the Milli National Park, Pamukkale, Hierapolis, Ephesus, Izmir, Aphrodisias, Selçuk and many more ancient and modern sites. They also took part in an amazing event organized by the Yedieylül İlkokulu - The Festival of Tourism.


7th TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - KUŞADASI, TURKEY

On 7-9 October 2018 teachers from all partner schools met for the second time in Turkey, in Kuşadası , to plan the details of the third year of the Industry Project. As the Stage of Travel has just started, a lot of time was devoted to discussing all countries' places of interest. Also, plans for the Stage of Film were made, including the LTT students' exchange in Poland. The visiting teachers also got a chance to meet the authorities of the Kuşadası Municipality, the Turkish teachers, students and their parents.


STAGE OF TRAVEL HAS STARTED

The months of October, November, December 2018 and January 2019 will be dedicated to tourism. All students will be discovering places worth visiting in their regions, meeting people employed in the travel agencies, interviewing tourists in their towns and making trips to local, regional, national or European landmarks and tourist attractions. They will also be thinking about rules for sustainable travelling and writing the Green Tourism Code. This stage will be so much fun!


6th TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - ROSCREA, IRELAND

On 27-30 May 2018 teachers from all partner schools met again in Ireland, in Roscrea, to evaluate the second year of the Industry Project. Stage of Food was discussed in detail, and plans for the Stage of Travel were made, including the LTT students' exchange in Turkey. The teachers also got a chance to re-visit the hospitable Irish school and meet its friendly staff and pupils. In their free time, the participants of the meeting took part in a fantastic event - the Viking Festival in Dublin.


THE FIFTH LTT EVENT - ERASMUS EXCHANGE WEEK - HAS TAKEN PLACE IN PORTUGAL

On April 25 - 29, students from Ireland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Poland - together with their Portuguese colleagues and hosts - took part in the fifth international LTT event, also in Leiria. The students dedicated a lot of time to ... eating of course! They visited local manufacturers of cakes and bread, tried out numerous Portuguese restaurants and cafes, where they tasted local and regional food and organized a great event - the Festival of Food, where each school shared with the others their regional delicacies.


STAGE OF FOOD HAS STARTED

The months of May, June and September 2018 will be dedicated to ... food. All students will be learning fantastic new recipes, eating foreign delicacies, finding out how different food products are made both on a small and on an industrial scale and trying to do their best to appreciate fresh, local ingredients and traditional dishes.


THE FOURTH LTT EVENT - ERASMUS EXCHANGE WEEK - HAS TAKEN PLACE IN PORTUGAL

On April 23 - 27, students from Ireland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Poland - together with their Portuguese colleagues and hosts - took part in the fourth international LTT event in Leiria. The event included visits to local clay factories, clay and pottery workshops, meeting local craftsmen and - of course - the Festival of Clay.


5th TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - KUSADASI, TURKEY

On 7-9 March 2018 teachers from all partner schools travelled for the first time to our Turkish partner in Kusadasi to evaluate the progress made so far in the Stage of Clay, plan the next events in this stage and also to plan the details of the Stage of Food. The teachers also got a chance to visit the host school and hold meetings with its students.


STAGE OF CLAY HAS STARTED

In February, March and April 2018, children of all partner schools will be looking into the work of local craftsmen, admiring and designing school souvenirs and learning about the history of porcellain and the process of making useful objects of clay.


4th TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - SVISHTOV, BULGARIA

On 22-24 October 2017 groups of teachers and coordinators from all partner schools met again in Bulgaria to evaluate the Stage of Silk and plan the details of the Stage of Clay. As it was the second project meeting in the Bulgarian school, everyone was happy to greet teachers and students whom we had met during the second meeting.


THE THIRD LTT EVENT - ERASMUS EXCHANGE WEEK - HAS TAKEN PLACE IN BULGARIA

On October 23 - 27, students from Ireland, Portugal, Turkey and Poland - together with their Bulgarian colleagues and hosts took part in an LTT event in Svishtov. The event included visits to textile industry centres, as it launched the next stage of our project, the Stage of Silk.


STAGE OF SILK HAS STARTED

November and December 2017 and January 2018 are the months of silk- we will be concentrating on clothes - where the cloth comes from, how it is made, how garments are made and why some clothes are so cheap. We will be doing some textile craft, visiting tailors at their workshops and textile factories. We will be making our own recycled costumes and conducting questionnaires on topics related to clothes.


STAGE OF WOOL HAS STARTED

June, September and October 2017 are the months of wool - we will be doing a variety of fascinating activities connected with animals and getting to know the history of animal husbandry and role of animals in our lives. We will be doing a lot of wool crafts, visiting farms and talking to farmers. We will also be learing about the animal welfare.


THE SECOND LTT EVENT - ERASMUS EXCHANGE WEEK - HAS STARTED!

Starting with 16th May 2017, students from Bulgaria, Portugal, Turkey and Poland - together with their Irish colleagues and hosts - have been staying in Roscrea at Scoil Iosef Naofa and doing a variety of fascinating activities which will prepare them for the beginning of the Stage of Wool and for the upcoming Festival of Wool.


3rd TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - ROSCREA, IRELAND

On 14-16 May 2017 teachers of all partner schools met in Ireland to hold the final Transnational Meeting of the first year of our Industry Project. During the conference the Stage of Steel was evaluated and the details regarding the Stage of Wool were discussed. The teachers also sat down to discuss the Progress Interim Report and plan the outline of Year Two activities.


THE FIRST LTT EVENT - ERASMUS EXCHANGE WEEK - HAS STARTED!

Since Monday March 27th a group of ten students from Poland, two from Ireland, two from Bulgaria, two from Portugal and one from Turkey have been studying together the Polish industrial heritage during the Festival of Coal and Steel Erasmus Week in Katowice.

STAGE OF STEEL HAS STARTED

March, April and May 2017 are the months of steel - we will be conducting different activities connected with steel and getting to know the history of its production and its role in our lives. We will be turning all, useless scrap metal pieces into works of art, just like this one:


2nd TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - SVISHTOV, BULGARIA

On 15-17 February 2017 groups of teachers and coordinators from all partner school met in Bulgaria to evaluate the Stage of Coal and plan the details of the Stage of Steel. The teachers also got a chance to visit the host school and hold meetings with its students.



STAGE OF COAL HAS STARTED

On December 2nd the Stage of Coal was officially inaugurated.
The ceremony took place during the Miners' Day celebration at the Katowice school.
Now we can all look forward to the variety of coal activities in our schools!.


1st TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING - KATOWICE, POLAND

On November 30th - December 2nd the first transnational project meeting was held in Katowice, Poland. Teachers of all partner schools gathered to discuss the most important project issues during the Erasmus conference. They also had a chance to visit the Guido Coal Mine in Zabrze, meet the Polish students and teach them about their countries' traditions, watch the Miners' Day show and meet Polish miners, find out - thanks to an old Silesian legend - how coal came to be so important in Silesia and learn about the daily life in a Polish school.


INTRODUCTION STAGE IS OVER

The end of November marked the end of the project's first stage: Introduction. During this stage we:

- set up the project's website
- organized logo competitions in our schools
- took part in the LogoVision Skype conference
- chose the project's official logo
- held Project Opening School Work Days
- decorated our schools with industrial motifs
- started learning about the history of industry
- discussed the project development during the first transnational project meeting.


LOGOVISION 2016

On November 9 all our schools met online to vote for the project logo. Despite some small technical problems everything went well and the project logo was chosen. Have a look at some photos of the 2016 Industry Project Logovision:

OUR PROJECT IS APPROVED

It is a real pleasure to announce that the project: With the Work of Our Hands. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow of European Industries has been approved. Seven schools from around Europe will be cooperating and working on a variety of issues concerning the past, present and future of industry.
